  • Burton Adult RIP (Rider Improvement Program)

    Ages 18 & up – Novice to Advanced Riders
    Saturday 9:30-11:30am
    January 12 to March 2nd, 2019

    Why let the kids have all the fun? The adult RIP is designed to improve your skills on all sorts of terrain in an easy going, social atmosphere. Time to learn some new tricks! Our partner, Burton Snowboards, provides great swag at the end of the season.

  • Burton Riglet Program

    Ages 3-4 – Novice Riders (3:1 Ratio, Student to Instructor)
    Saturday, January 12-March 2, 2019 – 9:30-10:30 am or
    Sunday, January 13-March 3, 2019 – 9:30-10:30 am or
    Monday, January 7th-February 25, 2019 – 9:30-10:30 am

    The Burton Riglet Park, Riglet leashes and mini snowboards are the perfect tools to nurture your mini snowboarder. Our instructors will keep it educational and fun with a 3 to 1 child to teacher ratio. Burton provides grom-friendly swag to keep them busy off the snow.

  • Burton Snowboards Kids RIP (Rider Improvement Program)

    This is the program for kids looking for fun. Kids RIP focuses on developing the skills needed to RIP it up on all terrain.

    Skill Level Required – All program participants must be able to ride lifts, put on & take off their equipment and ride green terrain unassisted and in control. A great way for younger, inexperienced or beginner participants to be prepared is to attend a Season Starter.

    Ages 5-11 – Novice to Advanced Riders
    Saturday 9:30-11:30 am or 1-3 pm or
    Sunday 9:30-11:30 am or 1-3 pm
    January 12 to March 3, 2019

    Fun, and being comfortable on all terrain in all conditions with a focus on safety. Basic freestyle and freeride skills presented on easier features in the Burton Riglet Park and developed in terrain park. We’re stoked have Burton Snowboards onboard to provide some end of season swag!

  • Burton Snowboards Women RIP (Rider Improvement Program)

    Ages 18 & up – Novice to Advanced
    Tuesday evenings 7-9 pm
    January 8 to February 26, 2019

    This program is the perfect balance of fun, social and skill development. The Women’s RIP will develop your skills to ride wherever you ride or want to ride. Our experienced instructors will show you a great time and our partner Burton Snowboards provides great swag at the end of the season social.

  • Burton Teen RIP (Rider Improvement Program)

    Ages 12-17 – Novice to advanced riders
    Sunday 1-3pm
    January 12 to March 3, 2019

    A fun program for teens interested in becoming solid all around riders. The skills developed in the Teen RIP can be applied to any terrain anywhere – park, snowboardcross track, groomers and pow. Our partner Burton Snowboards provides great swag at the end of the season.

    Canada Snowboard Riders Blue

    Canada Snowboard Riders Blue – Building Skills, Competition Next Step

    Cost: $285

    Registration includes a full Canada Snowboard Membership.

    Ages 8-12 – Intermediate – Advanced Riders (3-5 years of riding experience,  have completed CASI Quickride 4 in the Martock RIP or RIDERS GREEN)

    January 12 to March 2, 2019

    RIDERS BLUE builds on the riders snowboarding skills while deepening the competitive literacy of the developing athlete. The Program is overseen by specialized coaches who are supported by Canada Snowboard. Coaching and assessments are closely tied to each participant’s individual progress, and feedback is provided to the athletes and their parents along each step of the way.

    The Canada Snowboard Riders Program is a confidence-building and skills-orientated introduction for young athletes to the sport of competitive snowboarding. The focus of the eight-week program is on developing the fundamentals required to excel in the sport’s multiple disciplines.
    The program is also further enhanced by Riders Events hosted by SBNS, which combine snowboarding basics with fun and competition using a multi-discipline skills course to help develop the ABC’s for fundamental skills: Agility, Balance & Coordination. Click

    Canada Snowboard Riders Green – Becoming a Competitor, Building Skills

    Ages 8-12 – Intermediate Riders (2 or more years of riding experience and/or have completed CASI Quickride 4 in the Martock RIP)

  • Martock Snowboard Team

    These programs provide higher-end coaching for snowboarders interested in competing or just becoming better riders.

    Ages 12 & up – Intermediate to Advanced Riders

    Speed (Superfriends) – SBX & PGS
    Tuesday & Thursday – 6:30pm
    January 8 to February 28, 2019

    Coach Greg K has made the Superfirends a Martock institution. Fun, skill development and a focus on going fast have made this program perfect prep for regional, provincial, national parallel slalom and/or snowboard cross racing and beyond.

    Freestyle – Park 
    Wednesday 6-9pm & Saturday 10am-Noon
    January 9 to March 2, 2019

    Martock has an inspiring freestyle legacy. This program is a great next step after the Riders Program or for anyone interested in honing skills to compete in Slope style.

    Overseen by licensed coaches who have also received additional RIDERS training and support from Canada Snowboard. RIDERS BLACK facilitates a confident transition for athletes and families in the competitive Snowboard NS community while developing strong riding skills with a focus on competition.

  • Season Starter – Snowboard

    A great Beginning to a great season!
    Dust off rusty riding skills & have some fun.

    • Ages 5 to adult – Beginner to Advanced Riders
    • Daily from December Wednesday 26th – Sunday 30th, 2018
    • The Season Starter is the perfect way to prepare snowboarders of any age for any of the multi-week programs.

    1 day, 4 hour group lesson. Starts at 9:30am to 11:30 with a 1 hour break for lunch* continue from 12:30 till 2:30pm.

    *Lunch is not included and there is no supervision during the 1 hour lunch break.

    **Lift Ticket & Equipment NOT INCLUDED.
